Ensures your site stays safe from click fraud

Wix is a website-building platform that enables businesses to create an online presence with ease. Hitprobe can be seamlessly integrated into Wix sites to provide robust click fraud protection. This safeguards against fake and malicious clicks on ads that lead to your site, ensuring your ad budget remains secure.

To install Hitprobe on a Wix site, start by obtaining and preparing your Hitprobe tag code. Then, rather than relying on traditional plugins, you can leverage their in-built custom code integration tool to add Hitprobe's JavaScript tag directly to each page of your site in seconds.

Preparing the Hitprobe tag

Once you've signed up your free Hitprobe account, you'll complete an onboarding process that will display the tag for you to copy. You'll need to have it ready for the next step.

If you've already created your Hitprobe account and added your sites domain, you'll need the site key that corresponds with the domain added.

This site key will need to be added to the the Hitprobe tag you've copied inside the <your_site_key> section (Note - Once you've pasted your site key into the tag, you'll need to delete the angle brackets).

To locate your site key:

  1. Log in to your Hitprobe account.
  2. If you've already added multiple sites to protect, you'll need to select the relevant site from the drop down menu in the sidebar (top left).
  3. Click Manage site in the sidebar.
  4. Scroll down to Site key and copy this code (Important - Make sure you copy the site key and not the secret key).
  5. Paste the site key into the previously mentioned section of the Hitprobe tag and keep to one side.

Adding the tag to your site

Adding the custom code to your site takes seconds, but you'll need to ensure that you're on a paid Wix plan before you can add custom code, then follow the steps below to paste the Hitprobe tag into your site.

  1. Log in to your Wix account and select the relevant site that you're adding the tag to. (Note - If you're an agency or Enterprise user that has multiple sites in your Wix account, you'll need to repeat this process for each site).
  2. Click on Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Scroll down to Advanced, then select Custom code.
  4. Although custom code can be added to the head or body of your site pages, you'll want to add Hitprobe's tag to the head section (This ensures the tag fires as soon as the page content begins to load).
  5. Select + Add custom code.
  6. Paste the prepared code for the Hitprobe tag into the field labelled 'Paste the code snippet here'.
  7. Give the custom code a name to make it easy to identify in the future, i.e. "Hitprobe tag".
  8. To ensure Hitprobe tracks all clicks that land on your site, ensure that All pages is selected in the 'Add code to pages' section.
  9. Click Apply and then ensure that the toggle switch is enabled to run the code correctly.
