Hitprobe updates
Product update: Introducing smarter analytics
We’ve been working on something big behind the scenes, and it’s finally here! The entire analytics section of Hitprobe has been completely overhauled, giving you every dimension & metric available alongside advanced filtering options so you can get the most out of your data.

We're excited to announce the new and improved version of analytics in Hitprobe!
It’s faster, more powerful and informative than ever before, making it easier to understand what’s really happening with your clicks, visitor behaviour and your ad spend.
Whats new?
- Streamlined UI: We’ve simplified the layout for a faster workflow and a modern, cleaner experience. Some menu options have moved, for example, to manage a site, just click the site name in the left-hand menu, then choose Site settings. You can also switch your default site from there.
- Smarter charts & filters: Drill down into your data, exactly how you need. With custom date ranges, intuitive filters, and a variety of interactive charts, you’ll always be able to find what matters, fast.
- Improved traffic source classification: We’ve updated how we classify where your traffic comes from, making it easier to understand at a glance. You’ll now see three levels:
- Channel - the broad category (like ad network, referral, or direct)
- Source - the specific origin (like Google or example.com)
- Subtype - Where the ad was shown (like Instagram or Display ads)
- Click health at a glance: See the totals for invalid, suspicious, bounced, engaged, and converted clicks over any chosen time period, so you can quickly assess your traffic quality.
- Entry & exit page totals: Quickly spot which pages are attracting traffic, and which ones are causing drop-offs. These metrics are aggregated over your selected date range to help you spot trends, and more importantly, areas to improve.
- All new risk view: Filter by risk type, view trends over time, and get totals at a glance. See all associated risks clearly for any selected period, along with how many clicks were added to your audience exclusion list.
- Engagement & conversion view: See just how engaged your clicks really are, or filter down to drill into specific behaviours (like how many bounced). Track conversions broken down by your pre-set event type (signed up, subscribed etc).
- API & export updates: We’ve added three new properties (channel, source & subtype) to the API and exports.
⚠️ Heads up: source_type and source_name are being deprecated - if you’re using these, now’s the time to change ⚠️ - To support our future plans, we've removed the option to see analytics across all sites at once (the previous All sites option when selecting a site).
Whats next?
We’ve also got more a few more changes coming soon:
- We'll be introducing the new filter options to the sessions view in the coming weeks, but for now, we've updated the sessions section to show the new Channel and Source fields.
- You’ll notice the new live visitors indicator in the revamped analytics screen, but we'll be adding the option to view full real time analytics shortly too.
We’re excited for you to see the difference, let’s make every click count.
