Installing the Hitprobe JavaScript tag on your HubSpot website or landing pages is simple and quick to do. You'll need to obtain the Hitprobe tag before you can get started and configure it with your unique site key.
Obtaining the Hitprobe tag
To get started, you'll need to create your free Hitprobe account, add your site and obtain its specific site key, then copy the Hitprobe tag (keep this to one side, you'll need this in the next step) - you'll also need to paste your site key inside the <your_site_key> section and make sure you delete the angle brackets.
Adding the tag to your site
Now you've created your tag, you're ready to add it to your HubSpot site.
To do this:
- Log in to your HubSpot account.
- In the sidebar, hover over Content, then select either Website pages or Landing pages from the menu.
- Click on the relevant page you want to add the tag to.
- Once the page loads, tap on the Settings button (top right).
- Select Advanced.
- In the Head HTML section, paste in the Hitprobe JavaScript tracking tag. (This ensures the tag fires as soon as the page content begins to load).
- HubSpot auto-saves, so you can tap the close/X icon in the top right corner and then when you’re finished, tap Publish (top right).
Currently, there's no option to automatically add the tag to all of your site's pages, so you'll need to repeat the process for all pages that you need to add the tracking tag to.
